Wow, it has been a while. I intended to write a post after the North East Open Studios Event but as soon as that was finished I was straight into preparing for the next Art Event.
It was so great meeting all the people who came to visit me there at Threaplands Garden Centre. I had a fabulous week and was blown away by how many of my pieces found new loving homes.
It was such a roaring success in a great venue that I decided straight afterwards to book again for next year. So that is where you will find me again during NEOS 2024.
I also decided to book the space for an Art Exhibition with my online gallery Aether to Easel. I still have a stock of my artists work from the Aberdeen Art Fair waiting to go to the Mind Body Spirit Festival in November. I thought it would be great to have another opportunity for this work to be seen in person before then.
So, today I will be ferrying more art to Threaplands Garden Centre to set up a 9 day exhibition from Saturday 28th October until Sunday 5th November in their upstairs space again.
I will be there from 11am to 4pm every day to welcome visitors and show this amazing collection of unusual and fascinating art.
This first weekend I will only be in the smaller side of the mezzanine floor since there was an accidental double booking with another art group.
On Saturday and Sunday, in the larger side you will find Moray 4 Art who consist of Lisa Colwell, Jill Mackenzie, Catherine Stables and Heather Billington. They are showing a beautiful selection of artwork in more traditional style and subjects. So there’s sure to be something for everyone up there this weekend.
From Monday however, Aether to Easel will occupy the whole upper floor and I have an Extra Special Display planned for Halloween! If you head over to see me on Tuesday 31st you’ll find me in “fancy dress” to support the theme. I can’t wait!
As part of this show I’ll be making a daily offer!
Every day of the event one piece of artwork with be offered at a reduced price. There will be a different artist featured each day.
This offer will be valid for 1 day only and it will be on a first come first served basis so if a piece speaks to you snap it up before someone else does!
You can purchase via the email link, by contacting me direct or by visiting the exhibition at Threaplands on the day. At the end of the day the piece will return to the usual price and the next one will be reduced and so on.
I will be sending out daily emails for this next 9 days only to let you know about these offers. Please don’t unsubscribe. As you know, I don’t normally bombard with emails. After the 5th my communications will go back to normal, posting only sporadically.

Studio News
In between these events I have been trying to get some painting done. I’ve been picked up by a few new galleries so have sent some of my last few remaining artworks out to them. I’m in the amazing position to actually be running out of artwork!
I have recently finished a new piece that I’m very pleased with. This one will be coming to Threaplands with me this weekend.
This was an intuitive painting that came from the things I saw in my paint marks. I loved carefully building up the layers and bringing out what I saw. I hope you like it too. The photo doesn’t do it justice so bee sure to come visit me at Threaplands to see it in person.
