No Strangers in the Hive
Bees pollinate around 35% of the world's food crops, including crops used for animal feed. Without bees, it would be harder to produce meat, eggs, and dairy. Bees also pollinate non-food crops that contribute to ecosystem health and biodiversity.
Other pollinators include wasps, hoverflies, butterflys, moths, beetles.
An estimated 84% of EU crops and the vast majority of wildflowers depend on insect pollination.
It is important that we make the world a friendlier place for pollinators so they can do their vital work.
"There are no strangers in the Hive" is a quote from the book "The Bees" by Laline Paull.
